FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for surgical treatment of patients with carpal tunnel syndrome. A transverse palmar ligament is dissected so as to form an ulnar and radial trapezoidal flaps; a ligament incision is made in the sagittal plane from a palmar-radial to a back elbow. After median nerve is decompressed, small bases of ulnar and radial trapezoidal flaps are sutured with vertical U-sutures, and palmar aponeurosis is stitched together with back seam, including it in radial trapezoidal flap.

EFFECT: method enables reducing the risk of traumatisation of the median nerve, adequately increasing the volume of the wrist canal by forming trapezoidal flaps, comparing and subsequent suturing of their small sides, as well as increase the strength of the reconstructed palmar ligament by using vertical U-shaped sutures and radial palmar aponeurosis included in the suture.
