FIELD: medicine; pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and pharmaceutics and represents a method for prediction of mirtazapine therapy effectiveness evaluation for treating disorders accompanied by development of depressive symptoms, by results of genotyping using polymorphic markers of CYP2D6 genes, characterized by that the resulting change in the rate of biotransformation of mirtazapine is performed, according to the results of which a recommendation is given to increase or decrease the dose of mirtazapine or to replace the drug.
EFFECT: technical result consists in optimizing the dosing regimen of mirtazapine when implementing the method according to the invention, which is based on analysis of results of genotyping by polymorphic markers, capable of influencing the change in activity of genes coding isoenzymes of biotransformation of mirtazapine.
