FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and apparatus for purifying a stream of a feed gas containing at least 90 % CO2, preferably 95 % CO2. Proposed method comprises the following consecutive stages: a) a step of subjecting a feed gas stream to catalytic oxidation to obtain at least one acidic impurity (HCl, NOx). Next stage b) of maintaining temperature of gas flow coming from stage a) is higher than the highest value from dew point of water and dew point of acid or acids contained in gas after catalytic process. Further, step c) removes at least a portion of the acid impurities by placing a stream of gas from step b). Thereafter, step d) separating acid condensates from the gas stream from step c) with a corrosion resistant separator so as to obtain a stream of CO2-rich gas. Also disclosed is an apparatus for implementing a method of purifying a stream of a feed gas containing at least 90 % CO2.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides high-efficiency removal of impurities from a crude gas stream enriched with CO2.
