FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for obtaining ammonium nitrate, combining obtaining nitric acid with obtaining ammonium nitrate. Gaseous raw material of oxidation installation, which consists of ammonia, water vapour and oxidising gas, is exposed to conditions, under which ammonia is oxidised with formation of reaction mixture, containing nitrogen monoxide and water vapour. After that, reaction mixture is cooled in heat-exchanger, which results in oxidation of nitrogen monoxide, condensation of water vapour and reaction of nitrogen monoxide oxidation products with condensed water with their absorption by the latter with formation of nitric acid flow. Nitric acid flow reacts with ammonia flow at stage of obtaining ammonium nitrate with formation of ammonium nitrate. At least 80% of vapour in composition of raw material of oxidation installation originates from stage of ammonium nitrate obtaining. At least 10% of ammonia in composition of raw material of oxidation installation originates and is delivered by vapour from stage of ammonium nitrate obtaining.
EFFECT: invention provides reduction of dimensions of reactor for ammonium nitrate obtaining and reduction of requirement to accuracy of mixing for nitric acid reaction.
