SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a luminescent chemosensor for ammonia and amines based on europium (III) complexes, containing europium (III) carboxylatodibenzoylmethane compounds of composition Eu(Dbm)2Acid⋅nH2O, where Dbm is a dibenzoylmethanate ion, Acid is an anion of a carboxylic acid: formic, acetic, propionic, valeric, capronic, caprylic, acrylic, methacrylic, trifluoroacetic, cinnamic, α-cannotric, β-piperonylacrylate, n = 0–1. Invention also relates to a polymer composition and a sensor for determining ammonia and amines and a method of detecting the presence of ammonia and amine vapour.

EFFECT: technical result is the development of a sensor based on a fluorescent chemosensor which is sensitive to ammonia and amine vapour, with a significant, easily detectable response to the presence of molecules of analytes in the gaseous phase.
