FIELD: modeling of communication networks.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to simulation of communication networks and can be used in designing systems and communication networks and their control subsystems, determining required memory parameters on communication network elements and equipment performance, high probability of transmitting data units over a given time in operating network information directions. Technical result is achieved by establishing a relationship between the probability of transmitting a data unit over a given time and the amount of memory on the switching nodes, taking into account the parameters which characterize the network state in the failure conditions of its elements, and the predetermined parameters of the recovery subsystem thereof.
EFFECT: wider range of means of simulating communication networks.
