FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: system for detecting vehicles moving in the direction of oncoming traffic comprises a computer programmed to control the actuation of the lighting device of the first vehicle, to provide a user-detected template external to the first vehicle, when determining in first vehicle that first vehicle is moving in direction of oncoming traffic. Determination in first vehicle, that the first vehicle is moving in the direction of oncoming traffic, is based on at least one of the first vehicle navigation system data and the first vehicle camera data.
EFFECT: higher traffic safety due to detection of vehicles moving in the direction of oncoming traffic, and actuation of the vehicle lighting fixture.
