SUBSTANCE: invention relates to self-contained and semi-autonomous vehicles. Computer and method for controlling taxiing of a vehicle comprise steps of detecting a request, sending a first notification after determining that the current steering angle is unavailable during taxiing, to carry out taxiing by the considered vehicle in one of autonomous and semi-autonomous modes, to determine that the current turning angle during taxiing of the considered vehicle became available. At that, as a result of determining that the current turning angle during taxiing is available, to send the second notification, detect selection of one of the first and second non-autonomous steering modes and steer the vehicle in accordance with the selected mode and signals.
EFFECT: enabling control of the vehicle in accordance with the selected mode and signals received from the user device.
