FIELD: chemical industry; environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for purification of water from natural sources. First, aqueous solution (X) is prepared containing at least 5 mg/l of one or more dissolved humic acids and not less than 95 wt % of water. Then it is brought into contact with a set of resin particles (Y) containing side chemical groups selected from sulphonate, carboxylate groups and combinations thereof. Obtained aqueous solution (A) is separated from the set of particles of acrylic resin (Y). Aqueous solution (A) with pH 5.5 or lower, containing not less than 1 mg/l of dissolved organic compounds, measured in form of dissolved organic carbon, selected from one or more humic acids, one or more fulvic acid or mixture thereof, and not less than 95 wt % of water is brought into contact with a set of particles of acrylic resin (B), having Hansch calculated parameter from −1.0 to 2.5, with side groups selected from primary, secondary and tertiary amine groups. Obtained aqueous solution (C) is separated from the mixture (BA), brought into contact with a set of resin particles (D) containing side chemical quaternary amino groups, and separated from mixture (DC). Acrylic resin remaining in the mixture (BA) is regenerated by contacting it with an aqueous solution containing metal cations, hydroxide and non-hydroxide anions, having pH not less than 10, and separated from said solution.
EFFECT: invention enables to efficiently purify water from natural sources from dissolved organic compounds without using ion-exchange resins.
