SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a damping device comprising a base comprising a through hole for cable installation, wherein through hole passes at least along longitudinal axis (X), and at least one jack connected to base and inclined relative to said longitudinal axis (X) at angle (αi) other than 90°, and a jack for said jack, connected to base and inclined relative to longitudinal axis (X) at angle (α'i) other than 90°, wherein jack and complementary jack are located on both sides from plane (P), orthogonal to longitudinal axis (X), at that orthogonal plane (P) contains center (C) of base located along longitudinal axis (X).
EFFECT: disclosed is an improved device for damping of cable vibrations, in particular cable rope.
