FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas industry and can be used for monitoring change of position of gas-water contact in direct drainage area of horizontal well. Method involves periodic non-stationary gas-dynamic studies. Early radial, linear and late radial modes of flows in the formation are separated. Displacement of position of late radial filtration flow relative to axis of ordinates during current investigations is recorded. Current lateral dynamic conductivity of the collector is determined from the section of the late radial filtration flow with subsequent recalculation of changes in the current effective gas-saturated capacity of the collector. Reduction of gas-saturated capacity of collector - introduction of water into gas header determines movement of gas-water contact.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability of control over change in position of gas-water contact.
