FIELD: monitoring systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and system for inspection and monitoring of elevator installation (100). In implementing the method, the self-contained flying object (32) comprising at least one sensor (33) is directed to elevator (100), wherein autonomous flying object (32) is provided with access to elevator shaft. Further, autonomous flying object (32) is located in elevator shaft and data collected by sensor (33) of autonomous flying object (32), is directed to remote center (20) of elevator maintenance. Accordingly, autonomous flying object (32) and corresponding sensor (33) can be used for monitoring and inspection of elevator installation (100) on a temporary basis, for example for a specific number of hours, days or weeks. Furthermore, when autonomous flying object (32) has access to elevator shaft, elevator (100) can resume normal operation, thus keeping simple at minimum level. Furthermore, upon completing its tasks on one elevator unit (100) autonomous flying object (32) can be directed by a remote elevator maintenance center (20) for monitoring and inspection of another plant (200; 300).
EFFECT: inventions provide reduced downtime of installation during monitoring and inspection.
