SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to obtaining control data in a medical system. Disclosed is a system for realizing a method, the system comprising a portable device, a group of active context data carriers comprising a first context data carrier, located in first point of portable device usage environment, and forming local positioning system, and data processing system, provided in portable device and including data input interface and device control unit, functionally connected to data input interface, wherein the data processing system is configured to: determine whether the portable device is located within the local positioning system by detecting one or more active context data carriers near the portable device, obtaining, from a first carrier, contextual data through a data input interface of first local context data reflecting at least one characteristic from a group comprising a location, a patient's identity, patient's activity and time, wherein the first local context data transmitted by the transmitting module of the context data active carrier are received by the portable device receiving module, generating, by the device control unit in response to obtaining first local context data, context-sensitive control data for controlling the medical device, which includes processing of first local context data and generation of first context-sensitive control data depending on electronic context information obtained as a result of processing first local context data, and outputting output data reflecting first context-specific control data through a portable data output interface. Also disclosed is an apparatus for controlling a medical system, comprising a medical device and a control system, wherein the medical device is configured to establish functional communication with the control system to obtain from the latter context-sensitive control data for controlling the medical device.
