SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, particularly to waveguide transitions. Coaxial-waveguide broadband junction of the probe type includes a section of a standard rectangular waveguide shortened from one end by a flat metal plate, exciter in the form of variable-cross-section variable-diameter probe, axis of which is perpendicular to wide walls of waveguide and is located on longitudinal axis of wide wall of waveguide, it differs from known designs in that it additionally has a single capacitance rod of constant cross section of the cylindrical groove, the axis of which is perpendicular to the wide walls of the waveguide and is located on the longitudinal axis of the wide wall of the waveguide on the side of the exciter probe or on the opposite side from the exciter probe.
EFFECT: wider operating frequency range of coaxial-wave transition to full operating frequency range used in coaxial-wave transition of waveguide.
