FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: waveguide window for input and/or output of microwave energy comprises two waveguides placed (1, 2) one above the other and closed at one end by walls (3, 4) respectively. The waveguides are interconnected from the side of wide walls by an opening (5), whereto a rod (6) in inserted and fixed to at least an outer wide wall of one of the waveguides. The rod is surrounded by a leak-proof dielectric partition (7) having a view of a lathe object. According to one of the alternatives for matching within a preset frequency band, a ring (8) is fixed to a wide wall of one of the waveguides.
EFFECT: suggested design of the waveguide window for input or output of microwave energy provides a wide band of matching within the low-frequency part of the microwave band as well as the simultaneous usage of the structure both as a leak-proof window and an impedance transformer.
