FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method which provides fast and efficient hydration of associative polymers, particularly those intended for use in drilling oil wells. Method for hydration of associative polymers (P) involves preparing an aqueous composition containing said polymers (P), obtained as a result of controlled micellar polymerisation, on which hydrophilic monomers dissolved or dispersed in aqueous medium (M) are brought into contact in aqueous medium (M), hydrophobic monomers in form of a micellar solution, at least one water-soluble or water-dispersible initiator, in the presence of at least one radical polymerisation control agent. Method comprises step (E) adding water to solid composition (C) containing said polymers (P) and surfactants (S), suitable for improving hydration of said polymers, in which said solid composition (C) is obtained by drying an aqueous composition comprising a mixture of polymers (P) in a hydrated state and surfactants (S), hydration is carried out for a shorter time than that required when no preliminary mixing is performed. Described also is a solid composition used as composition (C) and use of composition for oil production.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a solid formulation containing a polymer (P) and a surfactant (S), capable of improving hydration of polymer (P), and performing hydration for less time than that required when no preliminary mixing is performed.
