SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of fibrous sheet. Method includes formation of initial web from water solution of paper-forming fibers, movement of dehydrated web to transfer surface and creation of rarefaction in molding zone, defined between transfer surface and molding drum. Molding drum comprises a permeable structured surface on the outer side of the molding drum. Method also includes transfer of dehydrated web from transfer surface to permeable structured surface in molding zone. Discharge is created during transfer of dehydrated web, and paper-forming fibers of dewatered web (i) are redistributed on permeable structured surface and (ii) are pulled into multiple depressions of permeable structured surface, to form a molded paper web. Method further includes drying the molded paper web in a drying section to form a fibrous sheet.
EFFECT: methods of making paper products using a molding drum are disclosed.
