FIELD: textiles and paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to paper production processes. Method of producing fibrous sheet involves bringing patterned cylinder permeable surface into contact with nascent web and transportation of the nascent web between the transfer surface and the permeable patterned surface along the arc length of the permeable patterned surface. Length of arc forms at least part of molding zone. Method also includes creating a vacuum on at least a portion of the arc length. Method further involves transfer of the nascent web from the transfer surface to the permeable patterned surface of the patterned cylinder in the molding zone. Vacuum is created during transfer of the nascent web from the transfer surface to the permeable patterned surface of the patterned cylinder.
EFFECT: higher volume and softness of paper web without using creping tape.
