FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: device relates to fibre optics, namely to fibre-optic sensors for measurement of refraction index of liquid, and can be used in various industries. Fibre-optic plasmon liquid refraction index sensor includes a source of exciting light, a section of optical polarizer fibre and a sensitive element, which is an optical fibre with an inclined Bragg grating therein, the surface of which in the area with the inclined Bragg grating is coated with a layer of gold. Said sensor additionally includes a section of optical fibre with preservation of polarization, arranged between section of optical polarizer fibre and sensitive element, wherein the optical fibre of the sensitive element, in which the inclined Bragg grating is recorded, is a standard isotropic optical fibre.

EFFECT: proposed fibre-optic plasmon sensor allows simplifying the technology of its manufacture with preservation of its mobility and signal stability regardless of possible mechanical effects.
