METHOD OF PERFORMING SEPTOPLASTY BY REVERSE SEPARATION OF MUCOSA WITH PRESERVATION OF NASAL SEPTATE FEEDING AND "LATCHING" OF QUADRANGULAR CARTILAGE ON PERPENDICULAR PLATE WITH EXTENSION OF NASAL VALVE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2735709 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to otorhinolaryngology. Semi-penetrating incision is made from right side 1-2 mm in front of the quadrangular cartilage caudal edge. Mucosa is separated on the side of the cartilage subluxation, a cartilagine incision is made in the cranial region from the caudal edge of the perpendicular plate with removal of excess quadrangular cartilage along the nasal cavity for comparison with premaxilla. Quadrangular cartilage is separated in the cranial portion from the caudal end of the perpendicular plate. Comb is removed after separation of the mucosa at the apex of the bone crest on both sides. Mucous membrane perpendicular to the plate is preserved on the displacement side of quadrangular cartilage subluxation at distance of 5-6 mm from the dorsum of the nose. Thereafter, the mucosa is reversed from the quadrangular cartilage on the side opposite to the subluxation. Zone 1 cm deep from the caudal edge of the quadrangular cartilage is preserved in an unseparated region; an excess of quadrangular cartilage - an "overlap" is formed. That is followed by separation of previously preserved mucosa along the nasal bridge at the distance of the quadrangular cartilage "overlap" on the perpendicular plate. That is followed by latching the cartilaglion on the opposite side.

EFFECT: method enables providing the trophism of postoperative tissues, creating the conditions for expansion of the common nasal passage, recovering nasal breathing, preventing "saddle" occlusion of the nasal arch, reducing the skewness in the cartilaginous segment.
