METHOD OF ENDOSCOPIC GLUE REIMPLANTATION OF CARTILAGE IN SEPTOPLASTY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/00 A61B17/24

Abstract RU 2710055 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to plastic surgery, and can be used in endoscopic septoplasty. Under the control of the endoscope with a scalpel, a semi-penetrating vertical incision of the nasal mucosa is made 0.5 cm from the caudal edge of the quadrangular cartilage. Bone-cartilaginous frame of the nasal septum is separated by septoplasty, uncracked sections of the partition wall are preserved in its frame. Curved cartilage fragments and bones not subject to straightening are resected and removed outside. Resected cartilage fragments are placed on the slide, the glue is modeled and applied. That is followed by reimplantation under endoscopic control, for which each lubricated fragment is introduced into the defect region and pressed to the mucoperichondria sheets for 1–2 minutes, as a result of which the cartilage fragments are firmly fixed in the specified position.

EFFECT: method provides reliable fixation of fragments of autochondrial to mucoperichondria in the correct position, which provides stability of the partition, reduced risk of secondary deformation of the nasal septum in the postoperative period, allows to abandon the front tamponage of the nasal cavity in the early postoperative period, reduces the operation time.
