FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing norbornene oligomers by catalytic norbornene oligomerisation. Method is characterized by that catalyst used is amorphous mesoporous aluminosilicate ASM with molar ratio Si/Al = 40 in amount of 10–30 wt. % to the starting olefin, which is heat treated at 350 °C for 3–4 hours in an inert gas atmosphere immediately before reaction, then a norbornene in a solvent is fed into the reactor in a dry inert gas medium and the reaction is carried out at 40–75 °C for 5–15 hours.

EFFECT: technical result is a more efficient method of producing norbornene oligomers, which enables to obtain oligomers with high output.
