FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts for complete oxidation of carbon monoxide and highly volatile organic compounds, including copper, manganese and aluminum compounds, wherein precursor of aluminum compounds is a composition consisting of at least one semi-product selected from a group of aluminum hydroxide powder, transition aluminum oxide powder, wet mass of aluminum hydroxide, or mixtures thereof, obtained by separate hydration, filtration and / or drying, and / or calcination of product fractions of fast partial dehydration of hydrargillite of formula Al2O3∙nH2O, where n=0.5-2.9, after simultaneous micro-grinding and mechanochemical activation, and catalyst has following composition, in terms of oxides, wt%: copper oxide 7.0-20.0, manganese oxide 13.0-70.0, aluminum oxide - balance. Invention also relates to a method of producing a catalyst and a method of purifying off-gases from volatile organic compounds.
EFFECT: technical result consists in development of catalysts, having high activity in reactions of oxidation of volatile organic compounds at low temperatures in processes of neutral and wet gas decontamination.
