FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing high-index components of base oils corresponding to group III and III+ by API, and can be used in oil refining industry to obtain high-index components of base oils from non-converted residue of hydrocracking, with successive use of hydrotreating processes, catalytic dewaxing, hydrofining, rectification and vacuum distillation. Unconverted residue of hydrocracking or raffinate of unconverted hydrocracker residue or fraction of unconverted residue of hydrocracking or raffinate of fractions of unconverted hydrocracking residue containing not less than 90 wt. % of saturated hydrocarbons, including isoparaffin hydrocarbons of not less than 30 wt. %, is successively mixed with peroxide prepared in solvent dewaxing from asphalt-freezes of tar of primary oil refining; hydrofining, catalytic dewaxing, hydrofinishing, rectification and vacuum distillation.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain a high-index base oil component with a viscosity index of 120 to 140 points, sulphur content of less than 10 ppm (0_0010 wt%) and content of saturated hydrocarbons of not less than 90 wt% with kinematic viscosity at 100 °C from 5_5 to 15 mm2/s, which allows to vary range during production of commercial oils.
