FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: use for non-destructive testing of structures using an acoustic emission method. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that during the object loading process additionally measuring the activity value of acoustic emission of events with a given time interval (0.5-10 s) for each channel, when activity decreases below the minimum preset value Amin, the threshold level by amplitude is doubled, and when the activity of the specified value Amax exceeds the amplitude threshold level by two times, after which amplitude distribution of events is plotted from each source, parameters of power connection of amplitude with frequency of its registration are determined from values of amplitudes, which exceed maximum trigger threshold achieved during whole test on channel, then the obtained power relationship is approximated to the amplitude level corresponding to the minimum allowable amplitude value of the acoustic emission event and based on the obtained amplitude values determining the reconstructed number of AE signals (total count), which are used to determine potential hazard of each source AE on object.
EFFECT: high reliability of assessing the degree of danger of signal sources as possible defects of the diagnosed structure.
