FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: clamping device for lifting and moving objects comprises inclined couplers for converting the pulling force of the clamping device into a clamping force applied to the object. Between the jaw and the support of the jaw of the clamping device there can be located an exhaust element in the form of a triangle. Clamping device is also used in method of object fixation. When the drawing element is lifted, the base of this triangular element can exert a force on the jaw pressed to its support to ensure gripping of the object.
EFFECT: invention provides improved clamping force in the appliance.
