FIELD: image forming technology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention generally relates to an image forming technology and more specifically relates to a chip for a replaceable unit in an image forming device, a method of recording a chip installation, replaceable unit for image forming device and image forming device. Disclosed group of inventions includes versions of chips for a replaceable unit in an image forming device, versions of replaceable units for an image forming device and an image forming device. Chip for the replaceable unit in the imaging device comprises: a storage unit storing replaceable unit operability parameters and a substrate having a clock signal output, a data signal output and a connection circuit configured to transmit an electrical signal, wherein the connection circuit includes an impedance branch located between the clock signal terminal and the data signal output.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing accurate detection of the existence of a reliable contact between the conducting contact of the chip and the contact terminal of the housing of the image forming device.
