FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of industrial safety information systems related to the automation of the actions of dispatcher services of hazardous production facilities. System for prediction of consequences of accidents involving hazardous substances in real time comprises: a unit of initial data, a unit for exchanging data on weather conditions, readings of sensors of hazardous factors, process parameters, a design unit, a graphic interface unit (visualization), communication modules with external systems, a calculation history unit. Method of prediction involves use of special physical and mathematical models of emergency processes in a calculation unit, which enable to calculate arrival and scattering of hazardous substances of different density, obtain spatio-temporal distribution of concentrations of hazardous substances in the environment, calculate distribution of hazardous factors during diffusion combustion of hazardous substances, explosions of expanding vapours of boiling liquid, explosions and combustion of clouds of fuel-air mixtures, and fragmentation.

EFFECT: provision of detection and identification of emergency equipment in case of unscheduled emissions of hazardous substances into atmosphere and optimization of decision support system in case of emergency.
