FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of offshore structures, namely, to production of steel pipe piles and a method of butt joint of their sections when attaching marine stationary hydraulic structures (platforms) of pile, submersible pile and gravitational-pile types. Greatest advantage of the proposed invention is provided that long piles are used, manufacturing, delivery and installation of which at the platform attachment point are extremely complex and expensive, and also require the use of special floating cranes of high carrying capacity with large reach of boom. Disclosed is method of butt joint of sections of pipes of pile in process of its driving when anchoring support base of marine stationary structure on seabed. Connection of sections of pipes of the pile is performed using a threadless connecting assembly including a nipple and a coupling fixed on connected sections of pipes of a pile by means of welding. On the outer and inner vertical surfaces of the nipple and the coupling, respectively, there is an equal number of circular grooves, each circular groove of the coupling is connected to the external surface of the coupling by a tangential channel. During assembly of connecting assembly - fitting ends of nipple to appropriate ends of coupling - all circular grooves of nipple and coupling, lying in one horizontal plane, aligned and inside them through tangential channels pushing steel balls, for example, a bearing, or pieces of a steel cable, or steel semi-rings, or several short parts of a steel ring.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of butt joint of sections of pipes of pile, reduction of labour costs and time for performance of above-mentioned works due to use of simple design and manufacture of connecting unit, simplification of process of connection of sections of pipes of pile.
