FIELD: production of composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of structural parts, in medical equipment, in microengineering, for production of foamed objects. Composite powder contains microstructured particles containing calcium carbonate, wherein coarse particles are combined with fine particles. Coarse particles have average diameter in range from 20 mcm to 10 mm and include at least one polymer. Small particles are placed on surface of coarse particles and/or heterogeneously dispersed inside coarse particles. Small particles include calcium carbonate particles and have average particle size in range of 0.01 mcm to 1.0 mm. Fine particles are coated with a composition which, in terms of its total weight, contains at least 0.1 wt % of at least one weak acid. Invention also discloses use of composite powder and a structural part obtained by selective laser sintering, which includes composite powder.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables to obtain material which, during laser sintering, enables to make structural parts with improved surface cleanness and quality, as well as with improved density, improved shrinkage characteristics and improved dimensional stability.
