FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in production of food products packages, products for agriculture and horticulture, products for ready meals supply, stationery goods, medical products, composite materials, with 3D printing. Disclosed is the use of calcium carbonate as an additive for a composition which contains at least one polymer other than cellulose, which is represented by at least one resorbable polymer. Calcium carbonate is taken in form of calcium carbonate particles coated with a composition, which includes a mixture of at least 0.1 wt % of at least one calcium-binding complexing agent and/or at least one conjugated base, which is a salt of a weak acid with an alkali metal or calcium, together with at least 0.1 wt % of at least one weak acid. Weak acid has value pKa, measured at 25 °C, less than 4.0. Invention also discloses a composition for use in methods of processing thermoplastic materials and use of said composition as a thermoplastic material.
EFFECT: invention increases thermal stability, decomposition temperature, acid resistance of biocompatible polymer compositions, improves their mechanical properties.
