FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a damping element of a bearing. In particular, the invention is intended for use in rotating machines, for example, such as turbomachines or screw compressors, in which the rotor shaft is installed with possibility of rotation in the machine body by means of a certain number of bearings. Damping element of the bearing contains ring (7) installed between the rotating object and the support object, which provides support for ring (7). Ring (7) comprises at least three slots (8) extending over entire thickness (A) of ring (7) in axial direction (X-X') and at distance from cylindrical inner and outer surfaces (9a, 9b) of ring (7). At least half slits (8) have one or more damping parts (8a) with maximum width of 0.5 mm. Damping parts 8a are concentric and do not overlap. At least one slot (8) has one or more resilient parts (8b) with minimum width, which is more than width of damping parts (8a).
EFFECT: technical result is creation of damping element of bearing, having both damping and spring properties, which are at least partially not connected, so that stiffness and damping ability could be selected independently depending on specific situation, need, and so forth.
