FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for extension of fresh cooled meat and poultry meat storage life in constant electrostatic field. Method involves low-voltage meat treatment during its preparation for storage. Fresh cooled meat is stored in a constant electrostatic field with voltage less than 30 to 12 V at direct contact of electrodes with material of a film package containing fresh cooled meat.
EFFECT: method allows to considerably increase storage life of fresh cooled meat.
