FIELD: additive production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to additive production of three-dimensional articles. Method includes layer-by-layer formation of article in device (10) for additive production of three-dimensional articles, which comprises irradiation system (20) having at least three irradiation modules (22a–22d, 50), and irradiation system (20) is controlled. Irradiation region (30a–30d) for each irradiation module (22a–22d, 50), wherein each irradiation area (30a–30d) comprises a portion on irradiated plane (28) lying parallel to carrier (16) of device (10), wherein irradiation regions (30a–30d) are set so that they overlap at common overlap area (34). Section (34) of covering is divided into several separating sections (T1–T4), each of which is associated with at least one of irradiation modules (22a–22d, 50). Boundaries of separation sections are varied such that said separation sections (T1–T4) between two consecutive layers of powder of initial material differ from each other. Initial material powder layer located on carrier (16) is irradiated for fabrication of the product layer. Next layer of initial material powder is arranged on irradiated layer of initial material powder for manufacture of the next product layer. Also disclosed is device (10) for additive manufacturing of three-dimensional article.
