FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to production of a three-dimensional article consisting of a main element and an additional element made layer-by-layer on the powdered material. Device comprises a construction section for receiving a main element containing a limiting surface, an irradiating module for forming a radiation beam with possibility of scanning on a given field, a measuring module for measuring time-dependent intensity of electromagnetic radiation in a position of a radiation beam spot, a controller configured to associate the measured intensity of electromagnetic radiation with information on the current position of the radiation beam, determining the position of the confining surface with respect to the scanning field based on the change in the measured intensity of the electromagnetic radiation in time and based on the position information, binding a position in a data set of a three-dimensional article structure with a position in the section for constructing and binding the position of the additional limiting surface of the additional element with a defined position of the limiting surface of the main element.

EFFECT: production of hybrid articles from different materials.
