FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Double-action internal combustion engine includes working cylinder (25), compressor (18) and device for air supply from compressor (18) into cavity of working cylinder (25). Working cylinder (25) features larger diameter and two pistons. Compressor (18) is made in the form of cylinder of smaller diameter, with two pistons. Pistons of working cylinder (25) and the pistons of compressor (18) are articulated with a crank-and-rod mechanism with two crankshafts (28), (29). Engine incorporates extra cylinder (14) to feed air to compressor (18) and membrane mechanism. Proposed mechanism comprises case (21), adjusting rod (22) with nut fitted in case (21), spring (23) arranged between rod (22) and diaphragm (24). Device for air supply from compressor (18) into cavity of working cylinder (25) includes housing (36). In housing (36) under action of cam (35) rod (34) with hole (33) moves. During the air supply from compressor (18), cam (35) aligns hole (33) with the compressed air pipeline (37). Compressed air from compressor (18) and membrane mechanism via compressed air pipeline (37) enters the cavity of working cylinder (25) between pistons. During compression part of air volume remains between pistons of compressor (18), part is supplied to membrane mechanism. At the moment of flash self-acting check valve (32) covers gas passage of working cylinder (25) into compressor (18). Crankshafts (28), (29) are articulated by crank-and-rod mechanism with crank common shaft (43). Additional cylinder (14) for air supply to compressor includes piston (16) articulated by crank-gear (15) with crankshaft (28), two self-acting valves, inlet into cylinder and supply to compressor (18).
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of utilization of heat received during fuel combustion, and in increase of useful work at expansion of gas.
