FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of cold-rolled carbon steel for fabrication of cartridges. Proposed method comprises smelting of steel, hot rolling of slab billet, etching, cold rolling, recrystallization annealing and temper rolling. To ensure the required accuracy of making cold-rolled products through thickness of +0/−0.1 mm during hot rolling, a strip is made with a lenticular cross-section profile with a convexity of not more than 0.05 mm and wedge-likeness of not more than 0.03 mm, thickness value at cold rolling is set by the ratio: hnom= 1.009375 x hred−0.05, where hred is thickness of cold-rolled stock according to requirements of order, mm.
EFFECT: ensuring accuracy of manufacturing.
