FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for impact hardening of transition radii of a crankshaft, in particular transient radii between connecting-rod journals and crank cheeks and/or transient radii between crankshaft root pins and crankshafts, and device for impact hardening of transient radii of crankshaft. In the method of impact hardening in the impact position, the crankshaft is locked by means of a locking device for stopping the crankshaft in the impact position. Impact force is then introduced into at least one transition radius by means of at least one percussion tool. Control device is configured to execute a computer program with software code means for implementing the method of impact hardening and is a control device without feedback and/or with feedback.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of fatigue strength of crankshafts.
