FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for impact hardening of a crankshaft to correct its deviations from concentricity and/or to correct deviations of its length from a given one. Sectors of the crankshaft are determined, which have deviations from concentricity and/or deviation along the length from the specified length for at least one part of the crankshaft. Then, to correct deviation from concentricity and/or deviation along length, impact force is introduced in at least one transition radius between crank pins and bell cranks and/or between crankshaft cranks root cranks and journals by means of at least one percussion tool. Prior to determination of deviation from concentricity and/or deviation along the length, hardening, preferably impact hardening, of crankshaft radii is performed.
EFFECT: as a result, financial and technical costs are reduced, crankshaft damage is prevented.
