FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industry; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemical synthesis, specifically to a method of producing alkenylphthalamido succinimides based on triethylene tetramine by reacting maleic anhydride with olefins at high temperature with subsequent reaction of alkenyl succinic anhydride with amines in the presence of a solvent. Method is characterized by that maleic anhydride reacts with polyalphaolefin with molecular weight of 600–750, or polyisobutylene with molecular weight of 600–800, or with an ethylene oligomer of molecular weight 700–800, or an ethylene and propylene copolymer containing 55–60 % propylene units, with molecular weight 800–900. Process is carried out in the presence of an initiator first at temperature of 85–115 °C for 1.5–2 hours, then at 185–195 °C for 4–6 hours in molar ratio of polyalphaolefin, polyisobutylene, ethylene oligomer, ethylene and propylene copolymer:maleic anhydride = 1:1–1.03. Thereafter, obtained alkenyl succinic anhydride is condensed in industrial oil with N,N'-bis(triethylene triamino)phthalenediamide, obtained by reacting two moles of triethylene tetramine with terephthalic acid at temperature of 120–125 °C for 2 hours, then at 140–145 °C for 5.0–5.5 hours, or N,N'-bis(triethylene triamino)amidophthalidene, obtained by reacting two moles of triethylene tetramine with carboxybenzaldehyde at 115–120 °C for 3 hours, then at 140–145 °C for 4–6 hours, or N-(triethylene triamino)toluoylamide, obtained by reacting triethylenetetramine with toluic acid in molar ratio of 1:1 at 115 °C for 5 hours. Reaction mixture is heated at molar ratio alkenyl succinic anhydride: N,N'-bis(triethylene triamino) phthalenediamide or N,N'-bis(triethylene triamino)amidophthalidene, equal to 1–2:1, and alkenyl succinic anhydride: N-(triethylene triamino)toluoylamide, equal to 1:1, first at 85–115 °C for 1.5–2 hours, then at 160–170 °C for 4–6 hours.
EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain alkenylphthalamido succinimides based on triethylene tetramine, which can be used as anti-corrosion, detergent and dispersant additives in lubricating oil compositions.
