FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physics, namely to data processing, in particular to obtaining in real time accurate angular coordinates of observer line relative to given point on image and coordinates of intersection of sight line of observer with image plane. Device comprises optical units for right eye and left eye of observer, located on one plane so that their optical axes are parallel and pass in close proximity to sight line of observer; device for controlling distance between said optical units; controller for controlling distance between optical units; head movement sensing sensors; communication controller with external devices and external devices. Each optical unit consists of an optical system. Optical system consists of at least one lens, a mirror with spectral division of channels, a device for outputting visual information and a tracking device based on a monocrystalline video system. Infrared radiation sources are located around the optical system in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the unit. Optical system is located between eye and mirror with spectral division of channels. Mirror with spectral division of channels is located between the optical system and the device for outputting visual information at an angle to the optical axis of the unit. Tracking device is located at an angle to mirror with spectral division of channels.

EFFECT: device for determining coordinates of a sight line of an observer in real time is described.
