FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer composition suitable for making cables, which contains low-density polyethylene (LDPE), polypropylene and two polyolefins: one containing epoxy groups and the other containing carboxylic acid groups or precursors thereof, and to methods of producing a composition and a cable; also described are cables containing the disclosed compositions.
EFFECT: providing a composition with improved thermomechanical characteristics due to reduced phase separation in polypropylene-LDPE mixtures when used in mixtures of polyolefin containing epoxy groups and polyolefin containing carboxylic acid groups and/or precursors thereof.
