FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of operating an industrial plant containing an adsorber. Industrial plant (100) contains adsorber (10), which releases gas flow (G1), loaded with capable to be absorbed substance, with specified mass flow rate. For loaded gas flow (G1) there are phases (P1) with reduced load (φ1) and phase (P2) with increased loading (φ2), which follow one after another with alternation in time, the method includes steps of: supply (710) of loaded gas flow (G1) to inlet (42) of sorption buffer device (40); passing (720) of loaded gas flow (G1) in sorption buffer device (40) through sorbent (44), which is suitable for reception of loading (ψ) of substance capable of being absorbed, along sorption path (45), which leads from inlet (42) to outlet (43) of sorption buffer device (40), where the substance to be absorbed changes from the gas stream to sorbent (44) or from sorbent (44) into the gas stream, depending on the loading (φ) of gas flow and loading (ψ) sorbent; allocating (730) the treated gas stream (G4) at output (43) of the sorption buffer device (40). During phase (P2) with high loading (φ2) gas stream (G1) capable of absorbing substance form region (B1) with high loading (ψ) sorbent (44) capable of being absorbed by substance, which passes from inlet (42) of sorption buffer device (40) along sorption path (45). During subsequent phase (P1) with reduced load (φ1) gas flow (G1) area with high loading (ψ) of sorbent (44) is displaced along sorption path (45) in direction of outlet (43) of sorption buffer device (40). Length (l) of sorption path (45) and amount of sorbent (44) in sorption buffer device (40) are selected (721) so as to provide sorption buffer device (40), capable of arranging at least three, preferably at least four, more preferably at least five different regions (B1-B5) with increased loading (ψ) sorbent (44) along sorption path (45) during operation of industrial plant (100).

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of temporary homogenisation of charge of gas mixture capable to be absorbed by substance in industrial plant.
