SUBSTANCE: invention relates to off-road vehicles and can be used as wheelchair propulsor to overcome common use stair flights. Screw propulsion unit comprises a hollow cylindrical rotor with a helical ridge, equipped with a rotation mechanism, and a swivel head. Screw ridge is made in the form of hollow silicon tread profile of tape, laid in slots of cylinder, made as per plan of slotted spring with screw slot and mounted coaxially.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of auger propulsor wheelchairs.
