FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when pumping water from a quarry in the warm season. The method for draining a quarry includes cyclic pumping of quarry water to the surface using a dewatering plant, consisting of a pipeline network and centrifugal pumps connected to it, providing the calculated water supply at optimal efficiency values, periodic release of a part of the water flow into the quarry atmosphere from irrigation devices connected to the pipeline network, and control of the operating mode of the drainage unit by regulating the water flow rate with the help of shut-off and control valves. The regulation of the flow rate of the dewatering plant is accompanied by regulation of the operating mode of the pumps by introducing atmospheric air into the suction duct of the dewatering plant and using a valve at the outlet of the pumps to ensure their calculated supply at optimal efficiency values, and the air is released into the quarry atmosphere from irrigation devices along with jets water.
EFFECT: expanding the possibilities of using pumped out quarry water to suppress dust and intensify natural air exchange in the quarry by providing high transportation costs for the dewatering plant in the nominal operating mode of pumps and reducing the specific consumption of sprayed water per unit of wetted area.
