FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in complex treatment of elderly patients with hypotonic dysphonia. Method of treating hypotonic dysphonia in elderly patients, comprising a drug therapy: ubiquinone 100 mg/day for 1 month and L-carnitine 500 mg/day for 1 month in combination with inhalations with mineral water Yessentuki 4, which are performed through an inhaler-nebuliser in large-scale mode for 10 minutes 2 times day for 2 weeks. That is followed by phonopedic exercises once day for 2 weeks, including breathing exercises by E. Ya. Zolotareva, exercises for activation of vocal folds by I. I. Yermakova, phonopedic exercises are conducted 2 times a week under the supervision of a phonopaedist and daily independently at home. Duration of course is 1 month.
EFFECT: method enables increasing the laryngeal muscle tone in elderly patients, recovering the larynx and vocal folds, which ensures complete closure of vocal folds, disappearance of hoarseness and increased voice endurance.
