FIELD: otorhinolaryngology.

SUBSTANCE: patient is given a course of 5-7 sessions of photodynamic therapy on the vocal cords. An endolaryngeal infusion of a photosensitizer of 0.01% aqueous solution of methylene blue in a volume of 2 ml into the larynx is carried out under the control of indirect microlaryngoscopy or videolaryngoscopy. After a 10-minute exposure to the photosensitizer, the laryngeal mucosa is irradiated under the control of indirect microlaryngoscopy or videolaryngoscopy with a laser with a wavelength of 660±5 nm in continuous mode. In this case, the laser radiation power is increased gradually from 0.2 to 0.6 W from the first session to the last. Power density is 0.1-0.3 W/m². Irradiation is carried out for 120 s with a diffusion-type light guide with a microlens at the end, passed through a curved endolaryngeal cannula or through the working channel of a fibrolaryngoscope. The interval between sessions is 1-3 days.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to achieve sanitation of the surface of the laryngeal mucosa in the complex treatment of chronic hyperplastic laryngitis, reduce the severity of inflammatory phenomena, restore or improve voice function in a shorter period of time, including in patients with resistant strains of microorganisms, and in some cases also allows to avoid or reduce the volume surgical treatment and increase the accuracy of the upcoming surgical intervention.
