Abstract RU 2738710 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a composition for coating the surgical site and wound surfaces and a composition prepared by such a method. Method involves dissolving a vinylpyrrolidone-based copolymer and an antimicrobial substance in an organic solvent. Two copolymers of vinylpyrrolidone with alkyl acrylate with nitrogen content of 2.0–4.4 wt % (copolymer A) and with content of nitrogen from 4.5 to 7.0 wt % (copolymer B) in amount of 6.0 to 15.0 wt % is dissolved in ethyl or isopropyl alcohol while stirring for 1 to 8 hours and at temperature of 20 °C to 60 °C in ratio providing required content of nitrogen in mixture in range from 4.0 to 6.0 wt % and an intrinsic viscosity value in range of 0.2 to 0.5 dl/g; is added while stirring and temperature is from 20 °C to 40 °C water, the weight ratio of alcohol to water ranges from 96:4 to 70:30, concentration of alcohol in the composition ranges from 60 to 90 wt %, and water from 3.0 to 25.0 wt %; is introduced at temperature of 20 °C to 60 °C from 0.1 to 5.0 % by weight. of the weight of the composition of the antimicrobial substance and stirred for 0.5 to 6.0 hours, then at temperature of 20 °C to 40 °C is introduced from 0.1 to 1.0 wt %. Calcium chloride is added to the weight of the composition, mixed until complete dissolution of the salt and the finished composition is packed.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a composition with a constant, pre-planned composition of the film-forming component, easily reproducible in industrial production; obtaining both colored and colorless compositions required in cosmetology; use to create compositions of both alcohol-soluble and water-soluble antimicrobial substances; obtaining compositions having higher swelling values and breaking strength, which prolongs the length of stay on the wound surface and, therefore, the duration of the protective action of the coating; obtaining compositions having higher ability to stop postoperative haemorrhages, which increases effectiveness of the protective action of the coating.
