SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use as an antiviral agent of copolymers of N-vinylamides with hydroxycinnamic acid salts of the general formula An — Bm, where A is an N-vinylamide residue, B is a Na+, K+, NH4+ link of hydroxycinnamic acid salts; n and m — the content of A and B in mol.%, while n = 100-m, m = 15÷48 mol.%, with an intrinsic viscosity [η]250.1nNaCl from 0.2 to 0.5 dl/g, while the N-vinylamide residue is taken from N-vinylpyrrolidone, N-vinylformamide, N-methyl-N-vinylacetamide.

EFFECT: invention provides the use of copolymers as a basis for the creation of effective antiviral drugs.
