FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mechanisms of gas distribution of internal combustion engines. Rocker arm is configured to selectively adjust the opening or closing moment of the inlet or outlet valve by displacement according to the angle of the crankshaft and by gradually changing the maximum opening of the valve. Rocker mechanism makes it possible to provide engine braking by means of rarefaction by means of opening of outlet valves before compression stroke in internal combustion engines. Rocker arm comprises at least one rocker (2) to interact with the cam shaft on its one side and with the inlet or outlet valve on its other side, and transfer of movement formed by means of the cam shaft, to the inlet or outlet valve. Rocker arm is provided with at least one movable element (3). Movable element (3) is connected to side of rocker (2) intended for interaction with inlet or outlet valve. Movable element (3) is made with possibility of rotation clockwise and counterclockwise about axis, which is perpendicular to direction of application of force acting on valve. Movement of clockwise or counterclockwise moving element (3) is provided by means of first force application means and second means of force application through rotary support, which is located in the middle of movable element (3). Movable element (3) is made with possibility of application of force, as a result of rotation clockwise or counterclockwise, in direction, in which inlet or outlet valve moves. Movable element (3) provides for optional change of time and interval of valves opening and closing by means of change of inlet or outlet valve position in specified direction relative to and regardless of movement received from camshaft. Movable element (3) is made with the first ledge and the second protrusion on two separate sides of the axis, which passes through the center of movable element (3) and is perpendicular to the displacement direction of the outlet valve.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of selective change of actuation of exhaust valve and in providing engine braking by means of rarefaction through opening of outlet valves before compression stroke.
